Who thinks the KMC mall is a bad Idea

I don't understand what all the fuss about this mall is. To tell you the truth I am scared shiteless to enough go near it on opening day.. Thank you but I want to live the rest of my life!

What scares me most about the new "Mall" is that when it opens soon after the vogelweh BX/Power Zone will be shut down.  I live and work on vogelweh and as anyone can tell you that place is packed on the weekends and afternoons,  the thought of all that foot traffic being divirted, and combined with Ramstiens massive amount of people... Well simply put my mail box is going to be even more full with crap from ebay, and other online retailers then it already is.

I'm not sure, but I think he is bitching about the amount of stuff I order online... I can say that I see my Amazon/Ebay shopping going way up after they close the Vog stores. I hate going to Ramstein- and usually only find myself as far on the base as the clinic.

I put it like this: What (do you think) is easier to hit? A small Commissary in K-towns forrests or a huge building next to an Airfield?
That is one reason for me not to go there.
K2 is correct, as soon as the Mall is open, Vogelweh will close down (BX, PZ and Comm.). What sucks is, AAFES hasn't realized that they will loose their butts with that mall. I mean, c'mon, what do we pay for gas lately? Do they really think we pilgrimage there? There is enough competition out there...

I think the mall is going to suck... much suck. It occurred to me as I talked to the guy at the Pharmacy last night, that people who work on Ramstein assume that everyone lives or works on Ramstein. They won't lose their asses- they are taking away options. They won't be losing money on me, as I don't give them much in the first place, but it will be a real pain in the ass for those who don't live on Ramstein or in the surrounding villages. Where will the high school kids go to annoy me during their lunch breaks now? 

I don't think they are closing down the Vog Commissary. If they do, I may have to find Kay, and smack her stupid.

I don't care how much parking they think they are putting in- it won't be enough. It's why I hate going to that base. I really don't mind walking when I park- but when I feel like I have to park at the flight line to go to the clinic... it's a bit much.

The opening of Ramstein has been pushed back to late 2007....to early 2008

So you got time to get medical help in getting over the scare of "THE MALL"....LOL

TheFreud, they do not offer helicopter service from the flight line to th medical clinic...hehehe

I can only assume you are talking about the letters to the editor regarding them not having the uniform needs met of the guys downrange. No shock there. The editor's stuff is always full of bitchery about it.
