So tired of the AAFES lovers

Why are people writing about how much they love AAFES on this website? Thank God someone is blocking there stupid comments. We all know who they are. They are AAFES employees that's who. Most of them are losers in the real world  and could not get a job in the civilian sector. So of course they love AAFES! Do yourselves a favor and stop writing cheesy little comments about how wonderful AAFES is. I was smart and left AAFES. I just worked for them because I lived in Germany. What else could an Ami do in Germany right? Those Butt kissing idiots in AAFES know nothing else but AAFES. Better service with AAFES will only start once the higher ups start listening to the Soldiers and Airmen, as well as the employees that bust their asses for 6 bucks an hour. Why would anyone think that a person would give top quality service to customers making 6 bucks an hour? Hello! Even the Managers get screwed with pay if you consider what their equivalents make in the civilian sector. Once AAFES starts to care about their employees and customers opinions rather than the buracracy, then they will succeed. Until that time AAFES will always suck. I have no doubt about it either. AAFES will always suck. The top managers are stuffing their pockets and making staff cuts every where. I seen it and lived it as an area manager. One day you are happy and driving for the best, the next day they tell you that they are down grading you because of staffing and pay roll. People who have worked hard for AAFES for over 15 years have been down graded or cut all together. You never hear about SVP's taking pay cuts do you? This is how they give themselves raises. They reduce staff that heve worked along time and promise those with 6 bucks an hour, that they may be able to fill a full time slot for 6.50 an hour. Yippy Skippy! That is how the game is played at AAFES. AAFES truely sucks and always will!

Hey Sherlock .. great job on figuring out that I am an employee .... who tipped you off ? was when I said " I work for the company " or waas it when I said  I WORK FOR THE COMPANY....which means I lie cheat and steal too because you have to be as criminal as the higher ups. Either way  great deductive logic on that one .... I hate to see someone with your witts be a former employee because we are known for being idiots. That's funny since once you are a manager you have to stay as a manager.  They can not 'demote' a manager...they can move you - only to another manager job where you will make just as much or maybe even a little bit more.  I have yet to hear a factual story of a 'area manager' being short changed due to staffing problems and wages being cut.

Where were you working at?  What stores did you cover and when?

That's not true even of managers. AAFES can and does mess with managers. It is now so as a result of that Market Based Pay crap they came up with. If a store doesn't show a profit (which is a stupid concept because it is NOT a commercial enterprise and shouldn't be trying to make any more than it takes to keep running and make the MWR goals), then everyone from the Store Manager down to the SAMs can be downgraded on paper. Doesn't matter how great a job they do or what they get on the yearly PERs--they get hosed. With the war siphoning the customer base away, of course the monthly grosses will go down! Then, of course, AAFES insists on building 200,000 sq ft stores while trying to support the troops.

I know a lot of CTs and the inside joke is that you go to work for AAFES to get the training, your student loans repaid and some experience for your resume. Then, if you are halfway competent and you stick out your three years, then you haul ass to the nearest Big Name store and get a starting salary at least $10K more than you will ever see even after 20 years or more with AAFES (easy when the SES bosses withhold COLAs and raises for outstanding performances so their bottom line will look good and get their bonuses-also withheld from the peons by pretending the goals weren't met).

THAT is the reality of how AAFES has devolved!

I am totally upset at all of you bashing my favorite company. AAFES is so wonderful. We all love it here. If I could work for AAFES for free I would. I would even get under a desk to please upper management. This company is my life. I named my son AAFES PX and my Daughter's name is AAFES Shopette. This company means everything to me. I would kill myself if they went out of business. I would die in combat for AAFES. I put AAFES before my country and God. Hell, even my family. I would sacrifice my whole family for AAFES. I live, breathe and sh-t AAFES.
