OK so i was standing in line with a friend at the customer service at the PX in Schweinfurt. My friend finally gets up to a customer service person and was discussing a lay away and was getting frustrated and said in these exact words " This is B.S.!" the store manager or whoever it was told her she had to leave the store now for using such language or she was calling the MP's. And then the store manager started speaking in german to other employees there that were german. Figuring we are a group of an americans we dont understand them. Little did she know I understood every word of what she said. And the customer service rep said i have never liked this woman and she didnt like american woman. Well enough said right? Because its this american woman and thousands of others that are the ones that spend alot of money at the PX inwhich that gives her a paycheck. And the COL of Garrsion there backed the PX in banding my friend for 90 days from that PX, Shopette and any other related AAFES in Schweinfurt. Finally the Sgt Maj of Garrison gave her privledges once every two weeks at the PX for 2hours and once a week at the shoppette for a half hour. Now i understand things could of been handled different but come on now, soldiers and family memebers walk in there and drop the f bomb say shit damn bitch and bullshit and this woman said B.S. and we all new what it stood for and she was band from there. In that case AAFES should close there door to everyone because MOST people in the military swear.

This is the typical problem I find with shopping AAFES overseas.
Too many time to count I have found myself offended by the fact that the associates will turn to fellow LNs and start speaking in German after you have brought a problem to them.
I know this is their country- but this is our economy, and on the sales floor- with Americans- there should be some rule about English being used at all times, excepting the break room. They want the courtesy from us in going on their econmoy, and making the simple gesture of ordering our meals in German.. I don't think it is so much more to expect the same thing from us when working within the framework of our on-base economy.
