This is the typical problem I find with shopping AAFES overseas.
Too many time to count I have found myself offended by the fact that the associates will turn to fellow LNs and start speaking in German after you have brought a problem to them.
I know this is their country- but this is our economy, and on the sales floor- with Americans- there should be some rule about English being used at all times, excepting the break room. They want the courtesy from us in going on their econmoy, and making the simple gesture of ordering our meals in German.. I don't think it is so much more to expect the same thing from us when working within the framework of our on-base economy.
