That is one thing I don't understand... why do people log onto this site with the intent to just argue FOR AAFES? I don't go to an AAFES site and bash them. I suppose I won't ever understand people that just want to piss other people off. Obviously, most people on this site feel that they need to vent about a monopolized company that controls a big part of our lives for several years. It totally sucks, and getting on here to argue with people that have valid complaints, is just ridiculous.

It never ceases to amuse me, how some people forget where it is they came from and how they got where they're at. Esp. all the little people who they had to step to get there.

Many folks are quite new to this sort of thing, need time to get used to this, adjust. If any poster or even I are doing something wrong, show them or I the "common courtesy" of letting us know.

I thought this site was for people to speak their mind on things that happened in AAFES facilities, etc.  All I am reading from TOPMANAGER are unprofessional comments and threats.  I agree with THATGUY4 (and am sure there are more that think the same) that you are just on this site to VENT and not really concentrating on the subject(s).  You are so into yourself that it makes me wonder how you even got a job with AAFES, not to mention an AAFES Manager.  If you are that dissatisfied with AAFES then don't let AAFES hold you back from finding a new job else where.  It's people like you that either make or break a company.   Also, I do not appreciate you claiming that the AAFES Managers think like you do, we also have honest, loyal and working managers out there.  Boy you must of really brown nosed yourself up the ladder to even have gotten that far with your attitude.  No dear, I don't have time to meet with you at some coffee shop and .....

The internet is the best place for hate. This way you can vent and leave human beings who are normal alone and exhaust yourself that way. Better then taking a bat and going after what or who it is you want to hurt.

The Internet tends to dehumanize us and we don’t readily identify with random posters on a message board. Yes it’s true that thoughts can be misinterpreted amongst friends when posted online, but the arguments on some of these boards are downright scary.

The simple fact is I don’t know any of you people. How can I empathize with someone I don’t know? It’s very hard and for most people it’s too much trouble so they resort to either mocking others or assuming some sort of intellectual superiority.

I didn't realise this was some sort of competition - about who can create the most scintillating cyberstop. I thought the concept of a forum was to allow people who choose to join it an opportunity to share ideas. I am bemused by people who swoop in with auto-snide comments as their sole contribution.

Personally, these message boards gives me a few reflective moments in a full and active life. If it lacks the levels of sophistication you clearly demand you could either attempt to inject that yourself or find another one.

I wasn't taking it THAT seriously... I was just having fun. I actually contribute to this site. There are certain individuals that just get on here to cause trouble... I'm just doing what I think is right... some may find it juvenile, but I don't care. The only opinion on that matter that I care about, is that of the admins, cuz they draw the line on what will and won't get us banned ...and yeah, I can see how you think that we lose any kind of civility on these forums by exchanging verbal lashings, but like you said... better here than out there... I mean, I personally don't want to be arrested for assault again... Really, I don't, and as much as I'd like to stomp someone's face in, I think abiout what almost happened and chill for a bit. As irritating as it is not being able to reach through the screen and bust someone's lip open, I think it's better that way. i mean, we don't want people to see how ugly we can be in person.

Nothing wrong with a little tiff (a petty quarrel) on ocassion. As long as it doesn't lead into total threads being taken up by entire flame wars, moving from one thread to another.

I have seen posters gang up on other members, it turn into a 5 thread flame war, knock down drag out until admins or mods either banned who they thought was the instigant, deleted or shut down entire threads cause of it.
