wrongly accused of shoplifting/Conspiracy
« on: October 10, 2007, 12:58:51 PM »
Im currently a aafes employee. I was ringing up my coworker at work and i forgot to scan something now they accusing my friend of shoplifting and me of conspiracy. Since a week now we're on administrative leave and waiting for there decision. They gave us the option to resign but we decided not to do that because it makes us look gulty. I dont know what takes them so long. My Manger said she would keep us but its not up to her. We even have to go to court because security called the MP. They told us they could just do an Interview with us but they had bad experience with that. We told them we would never do that for a lot of reasons and we're just not that kind of a person. Im not a US Citizen and i would never jeopardize my stay in the US. I also wouldn't to anything that makes my sponsor look bad. I hope they come to a decison soon.

Honestly, I would just give them the big F. U. and quit. AAFES does not pay enough or treat their employees well enough to put up with their ignorance.

You made an innocent mistake. A punishment for a mistake is not OK.  If I were you I would look for a job where you will be treated with the respect that you deserve.  I am a supervisor at the Class 6 right now, but I am going to apply for another job this morning. They are hiring supervisors at the bowling alley, it pays over $2.00 more than what I make now, and the hours are so much better. Not to mention, they give full benefits. They don't hire people as part time employees, and then give them full time hours like AAFES does.  I can not even begin to tell you all of the illegal things AAFES does. If we all took them to court, they would be losing some major money.

Lets hope you get fired so you will not make any more stupid mistakes.  I wonder how many friends you helped steal from AAFES.

Even if it was a mistake, it really looks fishy when the person involved was your friend...

Can you say "will you like fries with that?"

Do not listen to "aafes manager",  it has been established at this site that she is a major loser!

The person involved, according to sunshine, was her co-worker who just happened to be someone she calls "friend". A lot of co-workers have become friends with each other because they see each other every day. Not everyone is out to stab each other in the back in order to promote to 60-hour weeks and even more duplicity.

It is that kind of management attitude that makes the employees unhappy and then results those unhappy people providing poor customer service.  Poop rolls downhill-if you insist on treating people like Kleenex, you are going to get hit with snot.

You know how I deal with poor management through AAFES? I price challenge my behind off. I price challenge when people do not ask me too. I stand right there and tell them to price challenge me, give me a price they think is appropriate.  AAFES is not out to save soldiers and their families money, but I sure as hell am.  Do not let aafesmanager fool any of you. AAFES makes a crap load of money. We actually have a daily sales quota that we are supposed to try and meet.  Even with all of the employees I work with price challenging for people, our store is still making more money then the rest of the stores on this post.  Most of that has to do with all of us treating our customers well. Many of them have told us they come to us because we have personality, and we do not hesitate to help them find what they need.  A little kindness goes a long way.  The managers seem to be incapable of showing any kind of human decency.  "aafesmanager" said something nasty on another topic about soldiers being high school dropouts. A majority of soldiers have graduated from high school, and at least 50% of them have taken college courses.  She is not one to talk. You do not need anything but a high school diploma to be a manager for AAFES.

Perhaps the problem is that AAFES needs to hire people who do their jobs correctly, and with an education.

The one question you should be asking is where does AAFES find their employees?  Let's think about that...Oh yeah, they mainly hire relatives and family members of soldiers.  So who is really treating the soldiers badly?

Find that quote for me... I was a soldier and am well aware that you have to be a high school graduate to join the military.
