So, here I am at yet another base in the sand box.  This happens to be an Army local, so my expectations were set lower than usual for AAFES.  And yet they still surprised me.  I got down here and asked my wife to send me my X-box.  Of course she can't because the SOFA agreement at the base she's at would put her in jail for black market stuff for sending me my own X-box.  Okay, so the other choice is to buy one here.  I cruise on in and they have the big three (PS3, X-box, and Wii).  I'm impressed.  They even have a decent selection of games for all, as well as accessories.  Not everything that someone might want, but definitely more than expected in such a small department.  They lack in other areas of course, but the store really is small, so I give them kudos for trying.  But here's the kicker.  All of the gaming systems are 110VAC only.  My wife got mine at po-dunk store USA and it was dual voltage, in a country where the majority of household plugs is 110VAC.  I'm out here where the majority is 220VAC at 50Hz.  So they only sell 110VAC at 60Hz equipment.  Even if you get a transformer (which AAFES doesn't carry) and get the 220V down to 110V, it's still the wrong frequency.  WTF were they thinking?  I also had the wife check at her BX.  Same thing.

walmart.com = dual voltage
aafes.com = no specification, so I'll assume 110V only since that's what they sell.
